We have tried to answer as many questions as possible. If there is something you would like to know that isn't on this list please contact us with your question!

Our philosophy is that a child’s main occupation is to play. Playing is the vehicle whereby children learn, grow and develop. The best place for children to play is in a safe, nurturing, home environment. This environment must include a balance of creative free play and structured opportunities to learn life skills.
We have developed a pre-school curriculum that will prepare children for Kindergarten by teaching the same basic skills that are taught in Kindergarten in public schools. We will be using the Funshine Express Early Learning Curriculum, which focuses on four major areas, which are: LEARN, GROW, CULTIVATE and SUCCEED.
Our curriculum may be adapted to meet any special needs that your child may require.
You will be asked to sign-in and sign-out your child daily. The only ones authorized to pick-up your child will be listed on the Admission Agreement. In the event that someone tries to pick up your child who is not on the authorization form (even Grandparents or other relatives), we will need to call you or any other listed legal guardians to get permission to release your child. They will be required to show ID when signing the child out.
This is an extremely important rule! Please keep us updated on who is allowed to pick up your child. Please fill out a new pick-up authorization form when changes are made.

We will try to make arrangements for back up providers to cover for us in the event of illness, emergency, or other circumstances on our part.
However, we recommend that you have alternate childcare arrangements available during our vacations. You will be notified as soon as possible so that you can make those arrangements.
It is ultimately your responsibility to find backup childcare. You are required to give two (2) weeks advance notice for vacation. We will give at least (2) weeks notice of our vacation schedule. We may take up to (2) weeks off per year.
Please call and inform us when your child will not attend due to illness, family activity, or some other event.
Please advise us upon enrollment if you plan to remove your child from childcare for any length of time such as summers, maternity leave, etc.
We are current with and constantly maintain our First Aid and CPR training. Minor cuts, bruises and scrapes will be treated.
With some minor injuries, parents will bealled to help decide whether the child should go home.
In the event of a serious injury or emergency, we will call 911 and administer first aid or CPR if needed. We will then notify you as soon as possible and tell you where your child is being treated.
If injury results in medical treatment or hospitalization, we are required to immediately call and submit an “Injury/Incident Report” to our Department of Social and Health Services Licenser and child’s social worker, if any. You will be given a copy.
Each child will be observed daily for signs of illness. Children who are contagious must stay at home. All parents of children in our care, as well as the Health Department, will be notified by phone of communicable diseases or food poisoning.
Please call us if your child will not be coming in due to illness. If you are unsure if your child should come or not, please call us.
If a child should become ill during the day, you will be notified immediately and will be expected to pick up the child as soon as possible. In such event, your child will be isolated from the other children until you arrive.
The parent is responsible for finding substitute care in case of the child’s illness.
